But only "cool" backlit shots.

Hi Paul, I will level with you, I am absolutely SHOCKED with your answer. That photo (yes it is my image) is atrocious and I would not want my name associated with such subpar work on this website. I do understand the position you're in. You are doing what you can to generate traffic to the site and easing screening restrictions can lead to that. However I have to ask, at what cost? Images like the one I referenced are rejected at nearly all the competitor websites to this one, heck an image like that isn't even shared by many on social media like Instagram, and if it was the poster would certainly apologize for it being so awfully backlit.
cpd wrote:I can see the motive for that one, the flowers on the plane and the flowers on the tree.
If it was just a regular plane in a regular colour scheme then certainly this motive wouldn't be justified.

Understand your point and the shot you refer to the motive works well. In previous years we have accepted similar shots where the cherry blossoms take more of the frame than the aircraft.
In relation to your shots and their motive I do understand your concerns. That said, I do see the aviation motives but unfortunately they are sometimes not too well defined. Please continue to upload them as you clearly enjoy the category and they have strong DB value.
Regards
Paul

Unfortunately it had to be removed fpr editing as it was two images overlayed into one

"He got banned (+ all photos deleted) on his first account back in March for continously uploading and appealing marginal and unfixed photos," Every time I reupload the photo, I edited it, but screeners didn't look carefully, and then arbitrarily said there was no change.
This time, I didn't violate any rules for uploading pictures. I just wanted to use the original name. As a result, it was banned. It was really a mess. Is this their world, and there is no justice?

Not only that, I'm also wondering how many votes it got in order to become Photographer's Choice.
I guess as long as it's an A2A photo of a rare a/c, quality standards are being thrown overboard.
dutchspotter1 wrote:Just wondering why these two photos of the same a/c were accepted, rather than having one accepted and the other rejected for "double"
Thanks in advance for the clarification.

Same question for these:
Thank you.
cpd wrote:What is the point of this calling out of accepted images on the forum here? Can you use the screener email address?
cpd wrote:I have to wonder if the top of the photographers choice at the moment and views is really for the skillful photography or the “undercarriage” in the foreground of the photo, which would seem to be the main subject of the photo from the comments.
I suppose everyone will be doing those photos now. One way to get views.
It’s acceptable no doubt - that’s been decided before, but will it be if everyone does those photos and you end up with all the top photos of the last 24 hours the same?
dutchspotter1 wrote:I don't know the screener's email address as I don't know who screened this photo.
And how can other people learn from emails that only I would get from the screener? In the forum anybody can learn and discuss.
