Planespotting lens.

Fri Jul 29, 2022 3:11 pm

Hi guys,

I’ve been planespotting for a while now with my 250D and an old 55-250mm lens. I decided to upgrade to the Tamron 100-400mm after reading reviews inline but sometimes the pictures come out quite blurry. I found that shooting in manual fixes this but not in every shot. Would it be worth returning this lens and opting for a Canon 70-200mm f2.8? The Canon 100-400 is a bit out of my budget so I’m sacrificing focal length for quality here. Hope one of you guys could suggest something.

Thank you

Hi,
Original manufacture lens is always the best option and 70-200mm f2.8 is the sweetest lens however sometimes can be short. Can't say anything about Tamron but I had Sigma 150-600mm contemporary lens and it was sharp and I had no issues at all. You may ask for replacement and try another Tamron 100-400mm right in the shop.
