I understand why Tony has been particularly keen to post these pics: A 777-300 is extremely rare in the UK (I think the only regular is the daily Emirates into LHR), and I've never seen Emirates use anything other than an A330 into MAN (though I understand 777-200s have been used on odd occasions before).

As for the weather - well, it's true, there's nothing you can do about it, but you shouldn't feel cheated if a pic taken in bad weather gets rejected. The quality of the light and the air quality both play a big part in the quality of the eventual pic, and it's much more difficult to get a good pic in bad conditions. That's just a fact of life (one that's particularly relevant for those of us in the UK!).

Sorry to add again onto this thread , but i was having a complete read through all the comments..

there is a suggestion about equipment also the amount people spend...

I myself am in no way a professional photographer , im what you say a begining novice.. i use a Canon EOS500 ( $200 second hand) of which im still learnig to use the lens is a Canon 75/300 zoom ($150 trade in) ... as for for scanning i use a HP scanjet 6300C ($100 bargain) and for "tweeking" i use ACDSee software ( $40.00).. I just want to show my efforts the the rest of AN .. if you have a look at mt earlier shots you see i AM getting better through experience. As soon as i get back from the US i will see what i can do with the rejections .

Tony
