Hi gang,
Thanks a lot for the nice words! I have received many many E-mails on this photo, and I thank you all for that!
I could not believe my luck to be in a position to make this photo.
This was the very first time that I saw the Grand lady in action. I took a week vacation and stayed around at
LHR to get some nice action shots on her. And boy, I could have dreamt to get better results!
Hmmm, I believe I almost got another episode of A.net standards soap started here
I agree that this photo is not raizor sharp. It isn't. Furthermore I must be doing something wrong in the post processing since the printed version looks nicer. I also noticed after resizing to 1024x683 that quite some jaggies were introduced, which were much less noticeable on the 3072*2048 version. That though may have been caused by my monitor which is certainly not top of the range.
Anyhow I chose to upload this particular photo because it had the tree in lower front of the photo, which I thought created a nice setting combined with the low sun.
I have another photo that was taken a second or so earlier, which is sharper. I got a 30x45 cm print which looks absolutely stunning! This one requires maybe a little more attention in
PS to get the best result, however you can see it here:

Do you think I should spend some more time on this one and have it re-uploaded?
Kind Regards,
Harm
BTW. Like I just mentioned in another thread, I managed to get a nice back lit shot, although this one is not as pin sharp and thus was rejected for badscan. I 'll take the opportunity to plug it here:

BTW2. No bad feelings Andy. I appreciate your input and your feedback [in your E-mail] to help me reach even higher standards.
