Quite surprised to see this thread, thanks for starting Royal!

I hadn't noticed that I had passed the million views mark  Wink/being sarcastic
Who would think that a humble little regional airport like Aberdeen would generate so much interest within the aviation community.

Who said the D30 was sh***  Wink/being sarcastic

Ben, might make it down to LHR this year. I still have not used the D30 there yet and I am itching to get down. Will wait till BMI start the route in March..........but there may be a few other destinations to get to first  Wink/being sarcastic

Seriously when I get pi$$ed and try to talk to my Danish mates they just smile. We then move to international hand signals about women which does the trick and we get back on the same frequency.

Those are very good shot and where did you got very good place with the spot at their airport? When you would like able to come visit us in PHX for join them? I would rather that would like to see with alot of commerical airplanes in PHX and take a good shot into the parking garage. Thanks!  Smile

How on Earth did Aberdeen become such a popular airport?
Maybe it was because of the uber crazy crosswinds Dyce is known for..  Smile

Hey,

Congratulations Gary for entering the 1000/1000 club.

Gary is probably the best photographer I have met up to now, and certainly a very knowledgeable person. The output he has with the D30 is simply amazing which makes one wonder what he would produce with a 10D.

Yes, I was the one who made Colin drool over one of my Singapore rotation 747 D30 shots......I think he was impressed the way it came out of the camera......and that was with a cheapo Sigma lens.

A while back, Gary sent me some prints of his, and they were great. Then he told me that if I told him, he could have sent me the AA777 shot instead! I almost cried having missed it!

I have several of his prints framed and displayed in my apartment as we speak. An honor to have them.
