Upload Status Page Question

Mon Apr 26, 2004 12:08 am

I just have one quick question.

When I check my uplaod status, I see this:

Of your 2 photos currently in the upload queue:
0 have been brought to the attention of other screeners for their views.
1 is deemed a difficult border-case and has been left to Johan for final decision.
0 have not been screened yet.

So since there are two in there, shouldn't the three numbers below it add up to 2 and not 1?

Where'd the trail of the other pic go? Is there a fourth option for the pics that isn't on the list there?

Thanks for your time,

-Phil

haha, yes, Gary, thank you. lol.

Maybe I should change the subject since it all got resolved so easliy. lol.

I uploaded a batch of 3 pics, which is disappointing since this was when I was having trouble with my camera. I took 673 pictures (within only about 2 hours) and felt that only 3 were acceptable for upload, and I got all 3 accepted. Yay  Smile

Futterman keeps telling me i'm too hard on myself with my self screening. Oh well.

Thanks again Gary, Peter and the rest of the screeners. They have good patienece for me as I'm still kinda new to this.

Like I said, camera trouble. I have since exchanged my camera for a new one.

I actually have several other shots with great composition, with LARGE JFK traffic in the rear, but the quality was poor, so most of them went to waste.

I woke up at 6AM to do some LGA shooting, but a check of the runway usage told me they were landing on 13....they NEVER do that, maybe only like 3 times a year. Regardless it stinks for pics and I went back to bed. haha

Phil, when you have such a statistic, it means the second picture is currently in the rings of Saturn, along with lost luggage...

707 (4042 photos and 664 photographers are currently before you ...
1 have not been screened yet. - apparently, Summer is around  Smile/happy/getting dizzy )

P.S. Congrats on the selfscreening Phil, don't let people tell you otherwise!

Phil,

Occasionally photos go missing from the stats - dunno why, but experience suggests they're not lost from the queue and they get processed sooner or later (and by that I mean in the appropriate order). Don't get phased or too engrossed by your stats though - there's more to life than one pic that's temporarily "missing in action"

673 in 2 hours! Damn Phil.

Too bad the username "Clickhappy" is already taken!

How about "FrameBurstPhil." Or "FullCFPhil."

Good thing you're not shooting Philm...

Yeah, that's what DSLRs do to you  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

3 weeks ago at LHR, I barely shot 2.5 hours before my 512Mb CF was full !!! (had to go to the gas station at Hatton Cross to empty it in my laptop...)

As for self screening, the screeners shall (les eaux) notice that in 3 weeks, I must have uploaded 20 pics tops from that WE...  Innocent (have a huge backlog of everywhere else, so the BA319 will wait a little longer... )

I told you that your idea of holding the shutter button down almost continuously, shooting everything that moved, and you'd be bound to get some good pictures you could pick out wasn't necessarily a dead-cert! Big grin

Lighting was bad for me that day, also. I managed to get off this silhouette shot which I liked, but I still am not completley pleased with how it looks. *plug* lol

That and these two were the only ones out of the bunch. But this AA 757....I took like 20 shots of its approach from way out, it going over me, and the touchdown. That's how my card filled up so fast.
