What a great day. The Kenya 777 was nice, although it did initially appear to attempt to sneak past us, through the trees Big grin

I got the Kenya 777 on finals as most others did, but my BA A320 bound for BRU passed just next of her when taxiing to 09R. And guess where my camera was...safely stowed under the seat in front of me grgrgr... stupid me

Hello Guys,

Just got up from my 11 hour sleep after being up for so long yesterday  Laugh out loud

Edited a few pics from the day as follows:

Here is some French fool on a Micro-Scooter  Big thumbs up Doesn't he look like he's having fun!

A few familiar faces, you all know who you are  Wink/being sarcastic I'm not sure what James is up to with his arm?!

The French fool decided to take a pee pee where all of the 50 photographers present could take a shot of him. William needed to borrow Chris's 100-400L with 1.4x converter just to get a glimpse of what he "had"!  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Here you see Antoine with his "Bad Altitude" T-Shirt which both the Elbonians sported today! LOL Big grin Ivan managed to get in this one too  Laugh out loud

This guy had a rocket launcher with him. Think his name is Chris Sharps! He let me use this "thing", but only for one shot then cried as he wanted it back!  Big grin

Here is William trying to get an upload of a BA A319 which he so desperately wanted!  Smile

Cheers for the excellent day! Look forward to seeing some of your snaps  Big grin

Regards,

Justin  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Great day, Justin. What you can't see in my hand is a large bundle of notes that I was attempting to bung a screener with, but he was having none of it Big grin

Nice pics Justin. I think that if we send these 'CMF Spotters' pictures to LHR customs maybe they will prevent that these guys ever come to LHR again...although, I must admit it's always fun with these guys around Big grin See you guys next time

Sorry Declan for taking you to Mcdonald's so missing the Kenya 777, but I was STARVIN !!!!!!.

Had a good day. I took about 50 pics, which is a record for me.

Got some nice take off shots from that street by the KLM building just up from Myrtle Ave.

When I get the films processed, would I be better getting them put onto a CD ?? Will they be better quality doing it that way rather then getting normal prints and scanning them in ?.

My memory for recalling names is crap, I know I met Ivan, and the Elbonians, Justin and Chris, but who were the others again ??  Confused

Anyone going to be at LHR today ?.

No worries Lee - I was hungry too! Nearly got my Quarter Pounder hijacked by an Elbonian though.  Smile Cheers for taking me to the curry house and to the station too.

I won't be about today, I need to take a trip to a school.  Wink/being sarcastic

So... were you redder than we saw you after realizing that ?

Anyway, both Elbonians having window seats for the return leg, we did get the one rare shot of the Kenyan : a side ramp shot !!!

707, quite crimson as well (for other reasons)

I was lucky enough to get the Kenya 777 way before the LHR mass of photographers but it was rejected for bad quality I am sad to say  Crying

I look forward to counting how many uploads of it landing will be uploaded over the next week or so  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

707cmf: I don't know if I got even more red. The women next to me was already asleep by the time we were pushing back Big grin

Anyway, I had a great time, hope all of the other guys had a good day as well! My girlfriend was quite surprised to see how red my face was Big grin Today it's better however, thanks to after-sun!

I think sunburn was a definite reminder of yesterday; not many people got away without some. Exactly half of my face is red - the half not facing the arrivals Big grin - and it was pretty painful when I got home!

Thanks to Chris and Justin for showing me the sights around LHR, and to everyone else for the good company.

Cheers!

Donder10

It was taken with a D60 using the Canon EF300mm f4.0 L IS USM & 2x Converter

I thought it came out ok but it is hard this time of the year to fight the haze unless you can take the shot early or late in the day and maybe if it had more of a contrail I might have stood a better chance of it being accepted?

Chris,

Don't mention on our flight to MAN that you have a rocket launcher in your bag mate  Big thumbs up  Laugh out loud The time you mentioned it to the TSA Screeners in LAX was bad enough!

The TSA didn't like the look of the Bigma either, LAX, PHX, LAS and MSP screeners wanted to have a good look at it, although so did the screeners in Singapore Smile/happy/getting dizzy

You should have come over to say hello Paul. We don't bite. Well, maybe the Elbonians would have, but they were distracted by the entire stock of Skychef's May sandwich order.
