Mac Photoshop

Hey, I know Photoshop is avaliable for Macs...

My Situation/Question:

I am going to be getting a new computer soon. And I am leaning toward a Machintosh iBook or Powerbook. How does the Mac operate with Photoshop and Airliners.net? Are there any options that I will be unable to do with a Mac vs. a IBM? Anything I should be aware of? Anyone here edit photos on macs?

Well, I think Photoshop is more likely to perform better and work better and do better things and easier on a Mac than in a PC. They ode their success to eachother in some way.

Photoshop will work just fine. However, more than a few of the popular plugins you can get for PS (for example, Focalblade), are PC only.

I'm doing all my work on an iMac and I do use Photoshop Elements. No problem at all.

Never fear, if you know how to use the full version of Photoshop properly, you won't need any plug-ins. Big grin

I use photoshop on my 15" powerbook and it works perfectly. I have used it on a PC before and I actually prefer the Mac over the PC. And I'm a PC guy!

I'm looking at an iBook right now and anywhere I can get Photoshop CS for a good price? I was at an educational price where it was like $270 USD. But I thought it was like 800 USD... Confused...

There really is no diff. between the education version and the normal one...all that's different is price. It's meant to give a break to those that are already paying a lot to learn.
