Focal Blade Assistance
With some rejections of photographs taken with a 20D for being too soft I have changed from using PS7 USM and have tried Focal BLade Expert Mode. While I'm confident that the greater control over sharpening will improve the result (with practice) I'm having trouble with "jaggies" (eg helicopter blades) I would appreciate any suggestions as to typical settings for images processed to 100% with sharpening the last stage before saving.

Focal Blade looks like a good thing, tho I only have a demo version.
I cannot afford the full version for a little while, but I will be reading the manual and might have a better clue then.

I purchased FocalBlade about a year ago, and to be honest, find it offers less control then PhotoShop does. I only use it on non-aviation photos where some of the presets work well and quickly.
If you want more control in sharpening with Photoshop, read up on using layer masks. You can always undo your sharpening or fade it to just before the 'jaggies'.
