I Am Used To Rejection But Why With This One?

Just like it says in the title I always get rejected but on this particuliar shot I can't figure out where the "blemishes" are or why the pic did not get accepted.
I normally just go straight to myaviation.net and upload there but I thought this
shot was better than normal.

Any pointers?

Did you selectively sharpen the elevator or do something else to it? First thing I noticed.

Way too much sky above the tail-its best to crop that.

The aircraft looks centred vertically to me. It's the horizontal centering that could be a problem, with the tailplane cropped rather awkwardly. GulfstreamGuy what was the rejection reason?

He mentioned blemishes, so I assume baddirty, badquality, or badpersonal.

What abou the extremely dark tail? Does this have any influence.

Although it is not obvious on first inspection if you equalize the image there is a large hemispherical light area above the fuselage which I think might be flare from the ramp lights. It certainly looks a bit strange to me. There is a similar effect in the top right corner but again I really need to equalize the shot to see it. I would agree that there is a bit too much dark area at the top and, personally, I would also have cropped in a bit towards the nose to get rid of more of the air-bridge which looks a bit over exposed.

I would be interested to know the reason for rejection as on the whole this looks quite a nice shot. Perhaps the combination of small issues mentioned above was enough to get badquality or perhaps there is something else I'm not seeing.

All the best

John

Here is the reason they gave me...

We have had to reject the following photos:

- P8130434.jpg (Northwest Airlines Airbus A319-114)
https://www.airliners.net/procphotos/...ejphoto.main?filename=P8130434.jpg

The image quality of these photo(s) does not meet the very high
standards
of Airliners.Net. This does not mean that it is a bad photo, but it
does
mean that we think it has certain (possibly minor) flaws.
I may be possible to correct this problem, but this depends on many
factors. If you want to read more about this problem, and about
possible
ways to correct it and hopefully attempt a re-upload, please go to
https://www.airliners.net/procphotos/reasons.php#quality

These photo(s) have blemishes on them. If the image is from a digital
single-lens reflex camera (DSLR), these blemishes may be dust spots
("dust
donuts"), which are often difficult to see. If the image is from a
regular
digital camera, the blemishes are probably caused by dirt on the lens.
If
the image is from a scanner, the blemishes may be dust, dirt or
scratches.
This problem is almost always very easy to correct. If you want to read
more about this problem, and about how to correct it and hopefully
attempt
a re-upload, please go to
https://www.airliners.net/procphotos/reasons.php#dirty

I dont really know why. I can't find any "blemishes". It really looked like a "high quality" photo to me!

BTW.. I never even "touched" this photo. No cropping, editing, or anything. I guess I should have?

Jason,

My mistake. When I screened this photo, I thought it was grainy toward the tail and a bit soft up front. I obviously clicked "dirt" instead of grain. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. You can appeal the photo and I am sure the head screener will see no "blemishes".

Once again, I'm sorry for my mistake. Keep having fun and sending your photos our way...

Terry

It needs some a little sharpening, also.
