Bangkok Photo Opportunities

Sun Oct 23, 2005 10:33 pm

Hi all,

I am off to Bangkok tonight for 3 weeks in Thailand. I will also be visiting Phuket (but that's been covered on another thread)....

This brings me to the question... Are there any good spots around BKK for photo opportunities???

If anybody would mind sharing on this, I would appreciate it!!

Thanks a mil

In February 2004 a Airside Visit was available at a cost. My understanding is that this is now not available. As I will be in Bangkok early next week are there other locations in addition to the viewing deck in Terminal 1?

I would also appreciate an Email Malcolm

Thanks

Nice, a bunch of comedians! The reason I sent Speedbird an e-mail was so he could reply to me with his which I would then reply to with an attachment with a map to a decent spotting area. If you guys are interested, please send me an e-mail requesting same and I will be glad to respond. You know how to reach me thru this system.

Other than that, the Terminal viewing area, 4th floor International Terminal One is good but only in the afternoons re. light conditions. The AOT have stopped the airside access. I thought I had it arranged (for a fee, of course) however when it came down to delivering, I was denied and told they no longer do escorted airside visits.

Hi guys,

RAMP spotting at Don Muang Airport is not possible anymore!

Other opportunities are the viewing deck at Terminal 1 or you can go for some approach shots in front of 21L and 21R
No need to give your email I will place the map here in the forum  Wink
Every taxidriver in Bangkok can bring you to this spot.

Nice... Malcolm, you really understand what a forum is for. I actually thought you get the point and post your "email or whatever" here in the forum.
Anyway. Thanks William!

Thanks for the details Malcolm,

It's rained constantly for the couple of days I have been here. Although today for the first time there was consistently a little bit of sun. I hope it improves enough before I leave to Phuket...

Thanks again
