Was this a mistake in error when screening? Yes it may be the first photo of this aircraft/airline but the quality.. ?? All my rejections for quality recently and everyone else's? Have the standards now dropped?

I totally agree with you but airliners.net finds it more important that this is a new livery or airline. I think there should be some quality demands for this kind of shots. In a few days there are plenty of good shots of this plane. This one looks like it shot with a cellphone !

Really? Ever tried spotting in India?

This shot was added because of the fact that it's the first shot of this registration on Airliners.net, actually it's the first shot of this airline.
On top of that it's taken in India, where spotting is risky business. I don't expect (m)any more shots of this airplane anytime soon.

hi all,
well, have to admit, it's not a shot of outstanding quality. also it's a scanned KR64 slide.
thought I try to upload it anyway (because there is no other shot on airliners.net) - well, it took close to 3 weeks to get through the queue.
also, Martin21, I will pay you a beer if within a month there will be more pics of this one on the a.net...

Give me a good exposed one and I will scan it for you. I think the problem with propfreak's slide is that it's underexposed. I saw in the DB that he has other better exposed photo's (also from India), so it is possible

A question for propfreak: Wy did you shoot it on slide, looking though your pictures I see (guess) you have a dSLR. And I accept your beer offer  Smile

Yeah why have a rare aircraft on slide that you can treasure for years to come Wink

I guess we can never win here with some people. This is a crazy rare aircraft and as Propfreak says, doubtful we'll ever get any again. Standards are lowered for these kind of subjects.

hi again,
well, why did I take it on slide? tim says it all.. (Yeah why have a rare aircraft on slide that you can treasure for years to come ). i did have my DSLR with me as well (more to come), also got the pink Go Air (digital). but as I have a article coming up in a little Swiss aviation magazine, I didn't want to spoil the surprise for our readers. been taking pics in BOM for 2 afternoons, and switched around analog/digital quite a lot. about the quality of this slide - if you know the weather in BOM, you wouldn't be surprised. this is about an hour before sunset, the (main) runway is 09/27, so the sun is pretty much on the nose, and the weather was not clear (to say the least).
before I get a lot of questions of where to take pics in BOM - let me tell you: it used to be rather easy, if you were prepared to spend time in a slum full of people wanting to be entertained and photographed. sadly they build up the perimeter wall for another 4 feet and now you'll be only able to take pics if you know somebody living there and letting you inside their house.

Guys crtitcising the picture have no clue. Taking pics in India with the people staring at you is not easy.

It's true, I have no clue about India (never been there). Can somebody explain what this is all about? Are you afraid of people stealing your camera and/or harming you? Are you facing problems with the authorities? Sorry if this has been answered already, but it's all news to me.

Agree the quality is somewhat lacking but this is the only photo in the database of this reg. We have lower standards for certain rare/old/artistic photos.

That is why it was added.
