PreScreen- Helo

Wed Sep 27, 2006 10:47 am

How would this shot do? It's re-edited, the last one rejected for Blurry. Taken with a Canon 350D + 18-55mm
Feb Helo

If it's close what could I do to possibly save it?

Thanks In Advance
Cal

It's a little soft for my taste. I'd hit it with a little selective USM (try 300%, .2, 0) and then add a little more contrast. Be mindful about losing detail in the snow though. I think the snow adds to the shot as is, but if it became just a sea of white, it would detract.

I think its ok but why didn't you walk 10 steps to your right and get the shot with the sun on it - That would have prevented it being backlit!

This photo is nice. But, actually I have the same question as Martin asked. If you have some shots taken from the other side of this helicopter, I would suggest editing one of them and that would be nicer.  Wink

A boring side shot, I was just looking for something more appealing.

Thanks for the replies though  bigthumbsup
Looks like yet another one not quite A.net material.

Sorry, I should have said. The quality is there I think, but being backlit could cause an issue.

Not that far.. a 3/4 shot from the sunny side would likely have worked and with some care not included the light pole that detracts from the side on shot.

Cheers
