Rejected Slides For Info - Help!

Sat Oct 14, 2006 3:25 pm

I've just had these two pictures rejected for info. Now, I am not sure what is meant by this. They have the type, regestration, codes, c/n, location etc. What more is required? Anyone help?

https://www.airliners.net/procphotos/...0061014_NX9022N_1_CSN_IMG122JP.jpg

https://www.airliners.net/procphotos/...20061014_NX757K_1_CSN_IMG119JP.jpg

There are 2 pictures of N9022N in the DB already, with no codes or c/n on the info. What am I missing?

Hi Andy.

How are you keeping?

Should they both not be US Navy?

Cheers.

Hi paul

Good-ish here mate.

I thought US Navy, but they are privately owned aircraft and the FAA lists them as such.

Are we supposed to put them in as how they are painted then?

Andy
Firstly sorry for the delay getting back to you....hopefully tomorrow !

Both have bits missing from the Codes F/253 on the top one, /0647 on the bottom one.

The older ones on the database were probably added before the requirements for codes, Categories should be PROP and WARBIRD not US Navy......Paul !

Hi Andy,
Seems Mick has answered the question pretty much but from the Photo Upload page..
"Note that privately owned aircraft painted in military colors should be marked as "warbird" and not included in the military category."

Nice pics tho, when my Lotto or Powerball numbers come up I am going to own a Trojan.. know just the one as well!!!

Cheers

One more thing, the location should be Carson City (CXP / KCXP). Just an extra 2 spaces  Wink

Give me a break - it was 7-30 am and I had just got out of bed.

Glad you have got your clarification Andy.

It says NX on both aircraft, not N. Should they really be uploaded as N?
C/n of N(X)757K is 140647.

The X stands for Experimental, the class the FAA put it in. As far as I can see the registration is a normal N number. At least, when you search the N number, putting the X in gives a negative result, leaving it off produces the information.

So, going by the other entries in the DB I uploaded them sans X. Fingers crossed now Big grin

Just to show what a pedant I am, but also possibly in a further attempt to defend my obvious error in the earlier post (and buffer my shame), Andy referred to a rejection for 'info'.

My understanding is that this relates to the information we can see presented with his rejected image - e.g. type, registration, location etc. Was Mick implying that the categories were incorrect - which we cannot see from the link? If so, this should be a 'category' rejection, not 'info'.

As such, can we assume the problem was with the codes not being complete, and/or the spacing issue regarding the location? If so that was one eagle eyed screener  wideeyed  .

Cheers.

About codes: There are so many on thos 2 examples shown here:
Upper one has: VT-6, F and 253 paint4ed on the aircraft
The second one has: 153, VT-5, 0647, and 2S painted on the aircraft.

What is supposed to go into the code field and in which order?
Or on this one

There is RM, 205, VA-176, E and 24143 on the aircraft. What is part of the code and what isn't. This is a very unclear area for me .
