Who Are The New Talents And Underrated Shooters?

Fri Oct 20, 2006 5:18 am

My biggest regret in my busy schedule is that I don't get to really enjoy new uploads like I used to!

So please, fill me in on who the next great shooters are! Also, who is still or newly very underrated these days?

Maybe share a couple of their best stuff.

If you self plug or something, I'll e-come after you.

Wtf?  faint   confused

Big Phil is going to throw you a beating through computer!

My vote goes to someone who has been around and is not entirely new but Florian Trojer just takes some great stuff. Every time I see his pics I want to move to Austria! Now there is a place I wouldn't mind seeing snow!

According to the "new photographers" link on the homepage, I'd recommend keeping an eye out for these guys...  Wink

I was fully aware of the fact that all four individuals plugged in my post are not only accomplished photographers, but also veteran uploaders here at a.net. I was merely poking fun at the fact that if you click on "new photographers" on the homepage and extend the page to 60 photos, all four of them show up on the first page (page 0, that is).

I'm gonna shamelessly self-plug here as I'm a new A.net photographer...

Since there are basically only 2 people who spot/shoot at SAN, I decided to break up their duopoly (is that the right word?):

Those are my only acceptances so far, but I also have 2 additional photos in the queue of an AC A319 and WN 73G waiting...

I can usually only go down to SAN about once a month or so, but I love it, and I hope I can become one of the new SAN regulars along with Matt Lyons and Shaun Edelstein!

He certainly has some talent.. its just his Queue limit is sitting at two.. so its taking him a while to unleash his quality shots!

The first two pictures were second and third respectively in the top of the day ranking...

PS: These are the only three pictures he has in the DB.

Keep in mind when I said "underrated", that I also menat people who have been around for a while, but whose photos are great and often go unrecognized.

So where is the ranking of photographers so we know who is rated where thus telling us who is over/underrated?

Are we talking about photos that look good but don't get a huge amount of hits?

Me!!!!!!!!!

Haha. Just kidding. Hopefully I'll be on the list sometime soon, once I get out more often, and to a larger variety of locations.

I don't know how "new" Mark Ralph is, but I don't remember having heard the name. Every one of his shots is incredible. He doesn't seem to have ANY side-on shots, and he's had 100 shots added in a year and a half.

I know Jeroen isn't new, but as people have been plugging "old" A.netters, I must do so too.

Jeroen Hribar, is IMO waaaaaay underrated. His shot are crackers, and apart from that, chrystal clear and sharp. He really knows how to handle a dSLR and edit its photos (not saying that he is the only one, but compared to me... haha! I wouldn't be counted!):

Some of his work:
