Prescreen Sikorsky S-61 On Duty In 1980

Sat Mar 08, 2008 8:20 pm

Hello,

I got the some old slides from my father I am allowed to upload and I would like to share with you! On of the first is a Sikorsky S-61 of the Danish Airforce taken in August 1980 while returning from a searescue mission of some surfers.
The photo was taken during his holidays.

But I am a bit afraid of the quality. And is the motiv ok for the rarity of the shot with some people blocking some parts? and centering wasn' t possible better as the aircraft was already low in the original frame.
I really like this shot, as it is not showing a "standard" perspective, it is showing the heli on a real mission for what it is supposed to do!

What do you think?

Cheers

Hi Björn,
while I cannot comment on the quality as I have no experience with slides and scans I'm afraid it runs a high risk of getting rejected for motive. Parts of the heli are blocked by the spectators and one rotor is cut off.

Just my opinion,

You might also want to crop the top a little bit so it looks more centered. As for the people, hmm, let me think...

That is what I am thinking, too. But on the other hand it is quite and old and rare shot, so I hope there might be an exception.. lets wait and see what happens  Wink

I would love to, but than the quality would get even worse, which I tried to avoid....

Thanks for your replies!!!
