Feedback On Rejection

Sun Mar 16, 2008 12:51 am

This photo was rejected for quality, centered and oversharpened:

https://www.airliners.net/procphotos/...filename=20080313_MTG_N274JB_2.jpg

I am not seeing anything that I would call a "very jagged appearance" in this photo. Can anyone point me to the problem areas?

Also, I'm not sure how to interpret the quality rejection. I submitted a second photo at the same time which I thought might be slightly lower in quality, but it only got an oversharpened rejection. Any ideas on what is wrong here would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think oversharpened is the right engine and its area around it (under the right wing looks very sharp). It doesn't have to have jaggies to be oversharpened, iirc.

Possible oversharpen where you may see on bottom of ramp that show white spots (look like compressed) and plane is too low in frame (sit back and look and you could see too space in sky where plane is low)

The jaggies are best shown on the winglets, flaps, and horizontal stab. It is too low in the frame as mentioned and the quality rejections is usually a combination of number of things. In this case it's most likely the grain on the fuse and overall quality for such a common aircraft.
