If you can find any still available, the old Sony Trinitron flat-screen CRTs are the gold standard.
Anything else with the Trinitron picture tube in it should do. IBM used to do one with that kind of tube. (IIRC).
Otherwise, you are stuck with buying an Eizo (very expensive) or Lacie (less expensive, but still costly)
LCD panel.
My panel here is a Apple A1081 Cinema Display, but at work I have EIZO Flexscan S2100.
