What Is The Best CRT Monitor To Use
Gday everyone, I am seeking advice on CRT monitors. I am new to Airliners and I am asking for any help in choosing the right monitor. All advice will be greatfully recieved. Thankyou

If you can find any still available, the old Sony Trinitron flat-screen CRTs are the gold standard.
Anything else with the Trinitron picture tube in it should do. IBM used to do one with that kind of tube. (IIRC).
Otherwise, you are stuck with buying an Eizo (very expensive) or Lacie (less expensive, but still costly) LCD panel.
My panel here is a Apple A1081 Cinema Display, but at work I have EIZO Flexscan S2100.

Both for my agency work and Airliners.net I've been extremely happy with an NEC Multisync FE2111SB for several years, particularly in restoring old images.
Personally, I've avoided panels completely because of dot pitch, dead pixels and, quite honestly, budget.
You probably know that's only half the battle. The rest is monitor calibration which is a subject for a whole different thread. Good luck mate! Let us know what you end up with.
