What do you all think of this shot under the new rules?

Also, are crops like this acceptable now?

Thanks,
Chris

Quoting ANITIX87 (Reply 10): Quoting Mnazarinia (Reply 5): Can I get your opinions on this shot please? Way too small. We need to see the full-size uploaded image (at least 1024 pixels across, and maximum 1600). TIS |

Quoting Flynavy (Reply 30): Andrew - any chance you could provide the originals? You have my email. |
Quoting Flynavy (Reply 30): No. 2 - is this the full size image? Looks a bit small. |
Quoting AndrewC75 (Reply 31): Quoting Mnazarinia (Reply 28): Oh sorry here is the maximum res I have uploaded: https://www.airliners.net/addphotos/big/ready/IMG_7609_ver1.jpg Unfortunately, this one doesn't have a chance. There's heat-haze around the wings, it's extremely grainy on the bottom, and it generally doesn't stand out from the background. On a sunny day, this photo might be salvageable. |
Quoting Flynavy (Reply 32): Quoting Mnazarinia (Reply 28): Challenging lighting conditions for sure - care to provide the original file? Can't really comment until we see the original. |

Quoting ANITIX87 (Reply 35): I love the shot, but it's far too backlit. Try adding some "fill light" in photoshop or Lightroom, depending on which you use, but I think this shot may be a lost cause. It's very, very tough to get backlit shots accepted here. Mine, for example, was luck of the draw as I got a screener who liked it as much as I did. |

Quoting TupolevTu154 (Reply 25): It looks like you've used alot of shadow/highlight in that shot! |
