I had this rejected for 'quality' yesterday (as well as color and exposure).

Now, I think I can fix the exposure and color relatively easily, but do you think the 'quality' rejection stems from the overall poor lighting (high overcast skies) I had that day, or something else? I'm sure it's not noise that's the problem, and I was able to capture quite a lot of detail there, even if you can't see it at 1200mpx. Assuming then that the overall lighting is the problem, should I give up on uploading other similarly 'overcast' photos such as these?

As a side note, when you guys get challenging lighting/contrast conditions, such as these, how do you usually adjust the contrast, etc... do you just 'eyeball it', or rely on the photo editing software (i.e. auto levels/contrast/color in Photoshop)?
I ask because, of my rejections, the overwhelming majority are for contrast/color, and seeing as how the photos usually make it in after I've made the adjustments suggested by the screeners, I'd like to get it right the first time so I don't waste so much of their time! Thanks for any input!
