Obstructing Objective/Motiv Rejection?

Thu Nov 13, 2008 2:29 am

Would the air stair and the cars in this shot be considered an obstructing object and or motiv rejection?

And would you suggest I upload this shot instead?

Thanks in advance!

not so much as the vehicle in the foreground. completely distracting.  Sad

I think it might stand a "better" chance, but Im not sure of its chance beyond that.

#2 has bigger chances, but still looks like there was very little light available, and you can't hold the shutter open forever.

That is a tough lighting problem with the logo lights on the tail and the rest of the plane dark.

The only long exposure I had turn out well was taking a picture of a Beech Staggerwing in the predawn light. A car turning into the parking lot swept the headlights across the plane providing just enough light to get a salvagable picture.

if you had moved the foreground truck away, turned out the lights and held the shudder open for another 2 seconds, it might have been acceptable. from what I see, you tried to use the trucks headlights to illuminate the aircraft but the aircraft is too big and the truck lights, even closer up, would only illuminate a small portion of the aircraft.

Actually I did not intend on using the light from the truck to help and I had a very limited time period to take the shot so I had to work with what I was given.

Thanks for the help guys. Guess I'll have to try and get this one again some other time.
