Photo Acceptance- Pre-Screening (UnitedJumboJet)

Fri Jun 26, 2009 4:17 pm

I'm wondering if any of these shots have a chance. Both were taken at BOS on 6/25.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Both are low in the frame and lack contast. The AA 757 is also soft.

Edited the Aer Lingus. Recropped, upped contrast slightly, sharpened parts.

How about now?

Definitely not better. It seems very overexposed like this. My eyes hurt of looking at it  Sad

Whoa, the Aer Lingus is very overexposed, it is way too bright and the colors seems unnatural.

Yes, it's overexopsed- but this can maybe be fixed. Do you like this one better?

Thanks everyone for the advice. And thanks Luftfahrer, it does look better. Anyways, here's another edit of the Aer Lingus.

Also I edited the AA 757. Thanks Darren for the comments, it was recropped, sharpened, and the contrast bumped up somewhat.

Hello James,
both of your latest edits look compressed, the Aer Lingus also shows jaggies which are the result of oversharpening. I'd suggest you to keep both pictures for your private collection, making overcast approach shots look good is a tough and in most cases impossible job.
Cheers,
Florian
