Hi folks,

Could you pls advise on the matter with the balloon. I know reg. number but can't find the type. It might be balloon made by enthusiasts - no serial name I can find. Can it be uploaded then?

Regards,

Fyodor

Hi Fyodor,

if you could provide the reg and the photo, it might help in the identification of the balloon.  Wink

But in any case, if you don't find out what type it is, it may still be uploaded as "unknown".

Cheers,

Thierry

Fyodor,

can't help you with the reg (hopefully someone else can) but motive wise this will be borderline with only the basket of the balloon being visible and the people in the picture.

Wish you all the best with the upload though!

Thierry

Unfortunately, this balloon is in Mel Kirby's excellent 'Balloons and Airships of the World 2009' with both the type and cn as unknown. I also had a look through the various Air Britain News issues I have, but again was only able to come up with 'unknown' in the November 2008 issue. I think it is fair to say that if Air Britain do not know what it is, it is perfectly acceptable for you to upload it as 'Unknown' in the type and leave the cn field blank.

Do we have any 'Scramble' subscribers (or other historical or knowledgeable groups) here who may be able to help?

Best regards,

Jim

Fyodor,

Is this the only image you have? It has a Cameron burner but it doesn't look like a Cameron envelope...

If you have any more images that would help.
