Iceland Photography

Sun May 02, 2010 7:57 pm

I am going to Reykjavik for 3 nights in a couple of weeks and was wondering what the lowdown is on photography spots at both Reykjavik and Keflavik airports?

I won't have all that much time to spare but I'll try and get out to Reykjavik airport at least.

Any spots at Keflavik that I can get to without a car? I also read in an old thread about a military base there. Is this an issue for photographers?

Thanks for any info,

Andy S

At KEF the only spots without a car is by the terminal and the industrial area next door. The runways are a pretty long walk from the terminal.

If you want a private tour just drop me a message.

Just forget about damn aircraft for a couple of days.
From a photography point of view you're in one of the most photogenic countries in the world.
Get yourself a rental car(4x4) and go out there would be my advice.

Don't waste your time with aircraft photography. Iceland is one of the most spectacular places in the world for landscape photography. Don't miss the opportunity!
