I have identified three photos of mine that were accepted but are no longer in the database: ID#s 2108715, 2108716, and 2108380. They're not in the queue. What should I do?

- for those of you experiencing maxed out upload limits apparently without having your queue full, the discrepancy should correlate to the number of accepted images that you are missing from the database. Johan, if I can use you as an example, you are missing 5 from the database; those five are what are taking up the extra five spots in your queue. Hopefully the lost five images will be restored to the database soon, and the five upload slots will open again.

Hello,

Just to let you know my problem:

I've uploaded 10 pictures on the 24th May but the screening of that day has passed already and from what I understand if so happens we should upload the pictures again but It's not possible to do so because my upload limit has reached it's maximum.
Will it be necessary to upload the pictures again or you think it's possible to save them?

Best regards!

No, there weren't. I went to the upload page again and at the first time I was again able to upload another 10 pictures and after that I refreshed the page twice and it went back to 0 uploads available.

Quoting dlowwa (Reply 97):
- for those of you missing images from the queue, or seeing them pop in and out, Andrei's fix of simply deleting them and re-uploading them should work to rectify the issue; otherwise, the problem is still being looked into and will need another day or two to resolve. If screening has passed the date when they were uploaded, you can probably assume they are lost, and can re-upload them. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Hello!

I have a problem with the queue again!
I have 2 photos which was updated 24/05/2012 and 2 photos which was updated 25/05/2012. They are still in queue...
Also I have 10 pictures in the queue. With them there is no problem.
Could you deal with this situation?

Current upload queue situation is 2012-05-26: 335 photos 303 photos not screened yet 32 photos currently in screening

Regards
Alex.

Dear screeners,

I noticed today that one of my re-uploaded photos (Air Berlin OneWorld A330's taken in Curacao) has been deleted as I can't find it in my rejected overview nor in my accepted overview when going to my photographer's corner. I also see that my posts with the newly edited photo have been deleted in the thread I started about my initial rejection of the photo concerned. Can you check this and let me know what happened?

If everyone could please take the time to read over the key updates in replies 85 and especially 97 before posting, you will likely find your questions addressed there. We do not need to know your personal status if it relates to any of the following known problems:

- We know some images added to the db from the 24th-27th are missing.
- We know images uploaded from the 14th-19th went missing from the queue. As stated above, they are gone, you can re-upload them.
- We know some images uploaded around the 24th-25th are missing from the queue. These are likely lost as well, but will update when that is confirmed.
- We know some are still experiencing issues with their personal upload limit. This will likely be rectified when the lost db images are restored.

Most people might not want to take the time to read all 116 replies here before adding their 2 cents, so you might continue to see responses here...

I would suggest you lock this thread and open a "Part II" with the latest status and instructions as the first comment. That way others will hopefully see what's going on immediately.

Just a thought.

Checking my Queue status is like opening a box of chocolates. You never know what you're going to get.

One time, I have 10 rejects, and 10 uploads (not the same). Come back 2 hrs later and it's 6 and 6. Sometimes, it's 6 rejects, 6 uploads, and can't upload anymore because the queue is maxed at 10 (huh?). For a while (i.e.; several days), it looked like 4 had disappeared altogether, and judging from the posts her, an time-frame, I figured that's what happened. So I went ahead and uploaded them again. Now I don't know if I have 4 duplicates waiting in line or not. I'll just wait before doing anything more.

Not complaining, or asking for a response here. I can see that there are some serious issues still happening, and patience is what needed right now. I feel for you screeners out there, this cannot be easy on you, and the backlog that you guys must have to deal with, I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Best of luck getting this resolved and staying sane.

Hi all,

I see a strange situation that I've not read at the thread. If it is, i'm so sorry, I didn't read all the posts of everyone, but I did with Dana posts.

When I go to the link of all my pictures (the one I received once a picture was accepted and another rejected, the one where I see all my accepted photographies) I see the next text:

Displaying photos 1 to 2 from a total of 2 matching your criteria ordered by

But I am able to see only one, the pic of Spanair's airbuses under the susnset (Photo ID: 2072713).

Should I upload again the US Airways pic? I don't have the Photo ID of this other one.
It should be restore authomatically? Because there is the reg that it should exist, I understand.

What to do?

Thanks.

Hi, we were hoping for today or tomorrow, however, the developers want to ensure nothing else is affected with the solution they are working on. We should be able to provide an update on this no later than Thursday Santa Monica time.

We do understand the inconvenience caused and Demand Media do too, we will post an update as soon as we can.

Thanks and regards

An interesting anomaly...even after deleting photos that will not be screened from my queue and reuploading them...I still get a message (intermittently) that I'm over my limit, and will have to wait to upload more. When I check the queue, I still have spots available. Just wondering if this will ever get resolved or are we going to have ghost photos in our queue for extended period?

A random other bug I noticed (apologies if someone posted it already):

My total and average views seem to be oscillating a bit. I noticed it a few days ago, but couldn't catch it until tonight. These are two sequential copy/pastes, taken probably an hour apart:

1.) You currently have 305 photos in our database. The large version of all your photos have been viewed a total of 394,698 distinct times. On average, each photo of yours has been viewed 1,294 times.

2.) You currently have 305 photos in our database. The large version of all your photos have been viewed a total of 394,241 distinct times. On average, each photo of yours has been viewed 1,293 times.

Not exactly a high priority thing for me, but if it means the whole hit-counting system is currently out of whack....I know I've had a few accepted photos lately that seemed to get many more hits than I expected, especially when they haven't been added to many (if any) photo albums. Of course, that may just be changing trends.

Hi all,

We still await final resolution for the images previously accepted that disappeared from the db.

Important point:
- If you have images uploaded from the 23rd - 27h still in your queue, they will not be restored nor screened, so please delete and re-upload them. We are now screening images from the 29th, so if you have anything in your queue uploaded prior to that date, it is in effect a ghost image, and is only taking up space in your queue.

Again, any image other than one previously accepted into the database (for which you would have received an email) may be considered lost, and we ask that you please upload again. We have received several requests that images lost from the queue receive priority screening to be fair, but unfortunately as the images lost number in the thousands, this will not be possible. The developers offer their sincere apology for all the inconvenience this has caused.

Not yet - when clicking "Click here to view your photos currently in the database ordered by photo views" in the "Photographer's Corner" it gives "Latest Additions First" but showing the Most Popular. Number of photos views is lower then was before.

Same here. Not a big deal, but I wanted to report it anyhow, just to show that it is not an isolated event.

My "total number of views" seems to jump up and down (not that I continuously check this, but I noticed it this morning, it was a lower number than yesterday when I last uploaded a shot).

There are still some 'ghost' images floating around uploaded on the 24th-26th. Try refreshing your uploaded images queue until you see it, then delete it.

Maybe this has been pointed out already, if you view photos via the "Of All Time / Top 3000" link from the front page, the listed photos show a different number of photo views than the actual photos themselves. I presume the "Of All Time / Top 3000" pages have retained the original number of photo views while the rest of the pages show the number of photo views after the reset? Don't know, only guessing from posts in this thread.

Cheers!

Yes. I have been monitoring the totals twice per day since June 6th, and they have varied up and down during that time. I also noticed that the total views shown in the Photographers Corner has been significantly different to the total shown under the list of Airliner.net photographers (although as of yesterday June 12th, the totals have matched).

My problem of the missing images appears to be solved, with the upload page and search page in sync with the same # of photos, but my excel database shows 1 less. Somehow I'm going to have to figure out how to compare 6,033 images with 6,032 rows and see if I did it or one is missing. That's going to be a daunting task.

Yes, happens here as well. I went to bed yesterday and had 2,752,000 views, this morning I checked the queue again and it dropped to 2,750,000 views again. The number in the photographers list matches and the 'live' numbers as well.
But where did the 2,752,000 views come from?

I can't believe, my Air Berlin A332 with OneWorld titles-photo is lost again. I have been trying to get this photo accepted since early May

Is my photo still in the queue?

EDIT: Never mind my post, I see it in the queue again now. It re-appeared somehow.

Hi there, I was trying to re-submit two pictures that ware rejected for quality reasons, but somehow there are no upload IDs associated with either picture.

Would it have anything to do the issues of late?

My photos were originally uploaded around the end of May, and approved sometime on June 4.

Thanks!

If you are trying to use the re-upload function, that is only for images that have previously been accepted. If you are re-submitting rejected images, they will need to be put back in the main queue and wait the 7-8 days to be screened again.

and approved sometime on June 4.

Are you saying the images were rejected or accepted then?

For everyone else, there have been no new problems recently. Some still have ghost images taking up space in their queue, but that can be resolved as mentioned in replies #127 and #137 above.

RE: Screening & Queue Status Update

Mon Jun 25, 2012 10:39 pm

I keep having the following 2 images move in and out of my upload queue since about 2 weeks ago.

https://www.airliners.net/addphotos/b...eady/v1337857327.0492d31_3994a.jpg

I tried to upload 2 new images at the time that 2 were accepted from the queue, but between the time I checked and tried to upload, the queue was again full due to these 2 images. A little later on, they were gone and I was able to upload one image. But as of this writing, they are back in the queue. I am currently limited to uploading 15 images into queue; However, as I write, the number of images in the queue shows 16.

I do not recall if these images were approved, rejected or never screened.

Was wondering if this is part of the issue described in the start of this thread, or a variation.

Would appreciate some feedback.

Thanks

Jehan
