Go wonder!

P.S. SXM on a cruise stop is not considered for this question.

Put honeymoon into the search page and you will find a few of us that did.

She liked lying by the pool, I did not

Launched a space shuttle in the middle of our honeymoon which called for a sudden itinerary change to accommodate it! I called the hotel and woke her up at T- 1 minute to tell her to go to the balcony to watch the climbout at about 0227H but a low cloud layer meant that the shuttle stack was hidden within a few seconds after clearing the pad so the view most distant observers (including my wife) was a diffuse glow in the sky. I still get grief for the wake up call that led to nothing to see!

Same here! It was Columbia on STS-9 in November 1983 - we were down in Orlando, and she was as excited about seeing it as I was, so we drove over to watch the launch.

I didn't do spotting in particular. But we were in Greenland and everytime I saw an airplane or an airport I took some pictures. She knows about my hobby/ obsession
She even assisted me. Wrong lense on the camera, airplane approaching. So she grapped into my backback, got out the new lense, I just removed the wrong lense and handed it to her and she handed me over the correct one. So I took the picture and she put the lense back into my backback.
Ah yes, I married the perfect woman

Even better, but I guess my wife wouldn't want to do that. She likes photography, but not as much as I do. And she is not that into airplanes...

Nice to read this cool stories! Thanks for sharing.

Mick, that was a good tip, I searched in the forum though not in the database!

dstc47: Awesome!!!

I'll be getting married later on the year and I'm thinking of kinda-spending 1 day for spotting (out of 3 weeks). She offered it at the beginning and I'm considering to accept it

Shhhh!
Want to hear a secret?
We had to cancel our planned and budgeted European honeymoon due to reasons beyond our control, so the fiancé was unhappy and told me to book and plan everything and surprise her...
So I did!
I chose the airlines I wanted to fly on, the routes where those airlines flew planes I wanted to add to my flying log, and booked hotels with the best views of the airports... Or close enough to mega shopping centers to allow her hours of shopping pleasure while I had hours of spotting pleasure...
The wife only realised where we were flying to when we walked up to the Thai counter at SYD...
The worst thing about it? Having to cancel he Kathmandu leg of the trip and my one chance to fly on the Royal Nepal 757 combi... I still cry over that!
Cheers

I have been warned by the future wife, that spotting is not allowed when we go for our honeymoon! But I have a cunning plan...
