There is currently an issue with the generation of screening result emails that also affects the generation of appeal result emails.
At this time there is not a confirmed timeline for a fix. In the mean time, screening will continue, however appeals will not be processed until the email issue is resolved. Photographers can still appeal rejections through the appeal link: https://www.airliners.net/myphotos/appeal_photo.php
Screening results, including personal messages, can always be viewed in the Photographers corner, under the rejected images link: https://www.airliners.net/myphotos/rejects.main?

Interesting to hear no appeal processing in this. I thought you still find the results of an appeal rejection in your my photos rejected images with the reasons for the rejection listed. Second, an accepted appeal will just turn up on your accepted photos like a picture that past through screening.

If there is one good thing to come out of this issue, its that photographers are finding out that all the information they need regarding rejections and queue status is readily available in the Photographers Corner, and that the appeals link is also available.

The missing screening e-mails aren't an issue for me (for the reasons mentioned above), but what bothers me is that any "contact the photographer" form e-mails are getting lost. Any idea if those are being lost for good, or if they might still be delivered when the issues are resolved?

Yes, if you sent it after the screening e-mails stopped working, it's most likely they never received your message.

Hi Cary,
To be open we can't say whether they'll be delivered once the issue is resolved which we're still awaiting the fix for though it may well be they won't be delivered as you noted.
We're sorry it has taken this long to fix but the developers have been working on it with the solution proving far harder than anticipated. We hope to hear some positive news shortly as progress has been made but in the meantime appeals and shots left for the HS will remain on hold until the emails can be generated.
We appreciate your patience and understanding.

110....oh...I thought the number of appeals waiting to be screened is indicated in the Upload Queue Statistics in Photographer Administration, where it currently says "There are a total of 9078 photos from 1196 photographers waiting to be processed on the upload page (6 waiting for the Head Screeners and 9072 waiting for the screeners"
I thought 6 was the number in the appeal queue (at that time). Does the amount waiting for the Head Screeners in that statement not refer to the Appeal Queue? Just curious

There are two Head Screener queues.
One is images that have been appealed (the appeal queue, currently at 106, some appeals were tested last night).
The other is images left for the HS from the regular queue by the screeners, currently at 6.

I just received a confirmation email for two photos that passed the screening. Within 15 minutes I had a spam feedback email originating from one of the just added photos.
I'm no expert but it looks like they activly scan for new additions?
