Yes, 99% of us either use just Lightroom, or Lightroom and photoshop for an image.

VH-MGB: Looks a bit soft and could use more contrast. Add the contrast first and it may take care of the soft appearance.
VH-ZWG: Needs CW rotation. The light posts in the background are leaning to the left.
VH-VSW: A tad over sharpened, but pasasble for me. Also looks like some CW rotation is needed. Make sure there is not another image of this airframe in the DB. If so, this will get rejected for the cover.
VH-JPQ: Needs some CW rotation.

Next time you might want to mention that the shots were screened and actually rejected for the reasons Jehan outlined as well.
It would only be fair to mention that.

I didn’t mention the cover upon screening as there was only one shot of the ac in the db which is from 1987, so obviously from the pre-digital era. In that case the cover is acceptable.

what like explain to them what your doing and why ? because I happen to have been in hobart all last week and i was doing plane spotting there and a lady from an rv rental company said to me ( your not really allowed to take photos but just be careful of airport security.

The image of the R44 looks blurry to me: visible in the registration. Also part of the aircraft is cropped out of the frame on the right side.

From certain angles, it's sometimes hard to get the focus right (where you have elements both closer and further away). I've seen my fair share of photos where this happens, so it's not a unique thing.

The image needs a bit more rotation to the right (CW - ClockWise) and I would upload it as 1200px wide.

Here everyone needs to be able to ID themselves by law. That they are a Photographer is irrelevant.

No specific photographer ID required in most (in not all?) countries, however depending on what type of photography you're doing you may require a pass or written permission (plus a public liability certificate). Photography for personal reasons won't typically require any documentation — it's usually only required by the press or corporations wishing to shoot on private property.

Your settings will need to be very different depending on whether the exhibits are indoors or outdoors. Aside from that, subjects are typically very close so you'll need sufficient depth of field in order to get all parts in focus. Avoid or negate foreground clutter if possible.

Outdoors would be your normal outdoor settings. (Whatever you would normally use)

Indoors you’ll likely need 1/100 or lower, the lowest possible aperture, and iso 1000. Depending on how well lit they are.

At museums, I usually try to go for F8 if I can. My camera can handle high ISO very well, so I usually rather trade shutterspeed for ISO.

My suggestions:
- Try to see if you can get a tripod in with you, if you have one. It will help greatly and you wouldn't have to bump up the ISO. Simply keep it at F8, ISO 100 and only adjust the shutter speed.
- If you haven't already done so, learn how the triangle aperture/ISO/shutter speed works and how to trade one for the other.

If you can’t get a tripod in use the flirty, and use the lens cap or something to hold the lens up if needed.

Tim, if by 'lowest possible aperture' you mean widest, this is going to give you problems if the exhibit is only, say, a few metres from the photographer. The settings you'll need will depend entirely on what camera and lens combo you're using, and whether you have stabilisation.

The tripod method is probably the best idea to get quality images.
