B737 looks acceptable for me.
B757: Hmmm...quality is lacking at this size IMO. There is lack of resolution and visible to me in the nose/nose gear section. It has an over sharp feel to it. Sorry about the vague description, but I can't quite put my finger on it. I'd send it for a second opinion if it came across my screening queue.

Hi all, had this shot rejected for Soft and High Contrast. Just wanted to get an extra look or two from someone.

Sharpness looks okay to me, but the underside is too dark -> too much contrast.Try to lift shadows a bit, everything else won't help.

Reduced contrast and lifted the shadows more. Any improvement?

Two uploads I'm concerned about:

UPS B752 - The reg in this shot I noticed is blurred but that's from the engine exhaust. I don't remember the rule regarding this so would this be a deal-breaker here or no?
Image

Delta B763 - Love the composition but I'm unsure if I added enough sharpening or if quality is sufficient. Also curious about leveling.

The UPS is Oversharpened and too contrasty for me. I would tone them down.
Delta 767 looks a bit "crisp" around the wing...it could use less sharpening for me as well.

Thanks, Jehan. I fixed both but unfortunately there seems to be a bug with A.net right now as my thumbnails in my photo corner are not displaying. I'll post both as soon as the problem is fixed.

In the meantime, there seems to be a recurring issue with High Contrast from my latest uploads. I think it has to do with either the winter light or a camera setting (or both). But what do you typically do with editing photos taken in the conditions like that of the UPS? It seems like I should just leave my contrast settings totally alone but what do you think? This also goes for anyone too btw.

The UPS may have some slight OS at the titles and nose gear, but otherwise fine. Delta looks good as-is for me.
Contrast looks good in both photos. The simplest step to reduce contrast is to reduce shadows by a bit (up to +20 or so) or use little to no added contrast.

Re. settings for contrast winter light does add a boost of contrast to images, especially if there's a blanket of snow on the ground. I typically reduce brightness and contrast sliders as needed in PSE...eyeball it for the most part :).

Hi all. Had this rejected for Soft, Compression and Quality. The screener also left a PM telling me the image needs to be downsized to 1200px.

I really don't see either reason being valid and think it's passable. But any suggestions would be appreciated before I appeal.

Thanks Kas. Waiting on an appeal for the Stratotanker I filed last night.

Another rejection I don't agree with, this time of the Delta B763 from above. Rejected for Soft, Blurry and Size.

Rejected again on appeal. Screener left a PM saying the image is “obviously too soft”.

I guess I’m not allowed to upload at 1600px anymore?

you're allowed to upload at 1600px, but I agree with the screener. Its quite soft, and a little OS in my eyes.

Thanks, Tim.

Four consecutive quality rejections now. Linking the last two. I guess I've either forgot how to edit or my equipment is simply not good enough for larger file sizes?

In my opinion the KC-135 is still passable, but not much I can do about that now.
The AA and UA are fine.

Thanks Kas I appreciate your feedback and I agree. Unfortunately whoever has been screening my uploads lately just flat out refuses to see it that way and I have no clue why. Might just bin both shots and maybe pull everything out of my queue for the time being.

Had two images rejected yesterday. First one for Common, Soft and a PM stating the image is blurry. Second one was rejected for Soft.

What does anyone else think? The first one would have been a new airline and aircraft type for me but I agree that it's probably marginal at best so I may just bin it. The second one however I do not agree with and think it's passable.

The LH is not really blurry. The quality is not the best, but I don't see why it shouldn't make it if you go a bit smaller (1.400max) with some better sharpening on the back part.

The AA is a bit soft indeed and could do with a pass of sharpening allover.
