QF 738 might be a little flat/soft, and the EK maybe a little soft at the back but they look pretty good to me. Best to wait for screener input though.
Hey, thanks for stopping by! My photos can be found here: https://www.airliners.net/search?user=17 ... lay=detail

Hi all. Was wondering on your thoughts about this image. It was taken in tough lighting, but I feel I may have been able to save it.

Hi, looks a bit oversharpened around the cheatlines (jaggies). I was thinking of overexposed but it might be okay.

The Crystal 77L looks heavily processed to me and there are blown out areas. I'd say no to it making it into the database but I've said that before about images that were subsequently accepted.

The earlier three all look soft to me (the 737 blurry in fact), although it's so hard for me to tell from such small images. The EK 388 rear softness can be attributed to jetwash from the outboard port engine, however.

I agree on overedited (too little shadows). low contrast, borderline overexposed.

Hi Daniel,

1. On the sharp side, a little overexposed top half of the fuselage. Nice shot though, perhaps better with reduced highlights.
2. Oversharpened, blurry nose
3. Very noisy and very oversharpend, top half fuselage overexposed.
4. Very oversharpened and a bit overexposed.

Harsh light on all 4.

Crop #1. #2 is right in frame and #3 is definitely not passable.

Thank you, I’ll submit that. I made it harder because I messed up when taking the photo framing wise.

Could I ask for thoughts on this edit. My main concern is that equipment are moving towards the A/C and they may destroy the image.

Photos with active loading are passable. If you have a photo with the front highloader at the fuselage, that's fine. But as is, it's blocking the engine (and that's avoidable by simply waiting a few seconds longer before taking the photo). Also not sure of the blue strobe on the right wing. Was it still on?

Thank you, so as long as they aren’t blocking engines, etc then its fine

If the highloader was at the fuselage, it would be fine.

Too cyan and overexposed as-is. The sky and aircraft kinda blend, not enough contrast between the 2. Actual contrast seems OK (blacks are dark enough), so try tweaking the exposure of the sky.

The color is better and fine now, but the contrast is still the same. Add +20 contrast and try to tweak the highlights a bit. Not sure if it's fixable in the end though. If you shoot RAW, I can give it a try if you want.

Thank you, I'll give it one more try. I'm not really the best when it comes to editing overcast conditions.

The shot is in the db, what are we supposed to say?

https://www.airliners.net/photo/Air-Mau ... /5611983/L.

Or was it meant to be this one
https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/ai ... c9fb28c111

As it is a clear double to the shot I linked first I also don't see the point.
