The Cessna 310 photo is low on contrast, maybe overexposed; looks borderline soft/blurry, especially on the engine area; heat haze on top of the fueselage? Quality may be marginal; I would wait for screener's input but I highly doubt that this photo would make it.

In you first set, they are all blurry towards the nose. There is also a purple shift in the color evidenced by the color if the UNITED title. Overall quality is marginal at best.
In the second set, the AA777 needs some additional contrast and should be fine. Same with the AA787.

Both have weird contrast levels, 2nd is overexposed especially towards the top of the plane. I think the main problem exists in contrast.

Both images are underexposed, flat (low in contrast), and need CCW rotation. The AA B772 is also low in frame.

#1 is a bit flat (low contrast); soft; motive due to clipped horizontal stabilizer (poor crop?) - highly doubt this will make it in this edit
#2 is also a bit flat (low contrast); underexposed; blurry/soft; needs CW rotation

Unwarranted motive in that last one I think. That said, there appear to have been some big rule shifts here lately so I really don't know.

Agree with the feedback from JakTrax and FSX98. Definitely motive rejections on both the images of the Flamingo Air. On the first one the horizontal stabilizer is clipped on the left side. Images are overall underexposed and flat. The Ultimate Air Dornier also looks soft.

The Atlas Air looks blurry, borderline OE, maybe low contrast, and probably color (green is too light); not sure if that could be fixed further.
The Frontier looks soft and appearing backlit.

The American Eagle ERJ looks backlit, heat hazed, and underexposed.
The Cessna looks blurry, noisy/grainy, dark, and low contrast; overall poor quality.

Neither of them would likely be accepted, I'm afraid.

Hi,
let me put this straight, the Embraer is underexposed, blurry and heat hazed. The Cessna is really blurry. I am afraid (and sorry for the harsh critique) but they have zero chance of being accepted.

I would really recommend of checking other shots in the db of the same registrations and you should see a difference.
As an advice (especially for the Embraer); I would try to shoot objects that are closer to you, the objective you are using (from then flickr EXIF) is not that sharpest and its long end.

Again sorry for the harsh words, but I am trying to make it clear that there is no point in putting any time into these shots above. They are for your personal collection, but not for airliners.net.

Hi Andrew, the problem with Flickr is that we are not shown the real photo. It is smaller then your original and looks different. I downloaded the original file and watched it that way. It looks really sharp to me. There are only some jaggies visible around texts, and cheatlines. So I would say you oversharpened the photo a bit. Regards Stefan

OK - I don't have any queue space to upload my photos through Airlines right now, so we'll have to stick to Flickr..
I went to the Dayton Air Show today, and rented a 100-400mm L series lens.. Very nice lens. Anyway, here are some pics taken with it.
Thankfully the clouds eventually cleared, and the lighting got very good..

Hi Andrew,

Here's what I see:
1. The T'Bird: Blurry, underexposed and low contrast
2. Royal Navy Harrier: Underexposed and low contrast.
3 KC 135. Overexposed on the top and low contrast
4.C-117 Same as the KC 135

Glad the weather cleared for the show.. I was thinking of going up there myself but did not make plans due to forecast.

Hi Andrew,

For this photo:

- The airline was missing (= "Untitled")
- The category 'Single Engine Prop" needs to be ticked.
- The category 'Private' needs to be ticked (as owner).
- The 'builder' field is not applicable, that is only for license-built aircraft.

I've submitted the corrections already, so no action needed from your side for this photo. But please keep it in mind for future uploads. Saves us some time

From the first batch (posted 4 days ago)...

1. Severe heat-haze and blurry fence.
2. Soft/blurry, heat-haze, fence.
3. Same as 2.

From the latest batch...

1. Looks slightly blurry and has some strong purple fringing.
2. Winglet looks a bit blurry but otherwise okay to me.
3. heat-haze and obscured undercarriage.
4. Touch of heat-haze but might be passable.
5. Looks reasonable to me.
6. Blurry and dark.
7. Blurry and obstructed undercarriage.
8. Looks okay to me but could perhaps be a touch brighter. Looks a bit flat.
9. Heat-haze, undercarriage obstruction and bad magenta fringing.

1. Hazed at the underside of the aircraft.
2. Very bad glare on the fuselage.
3. Hazed.

1. Flat, chromatic abberation, blurry, quality
2. Marginally passable
3. Blurry, heathaze
4. Passable
5. Blurry, marginal
6. Blurry, underexposed
7. Blurry, quality
8. Underexposed, marginal quality
9. Flat, chromatic abberation, quality.

It seems like the groundshots are just not going to work, as they;re hazed/out of focus/blurry and you're shooting beyond what your lens can handle (hence the chromatic abberation (purple fringing)). Can I also just suggest to post a few photos and then project those results onto the rest (in stead of posting 12 photos for review)?

Today was an interesting day of spotting at CVG... The new United livery ERJ-175 landed, a UPS MD-11 was sitting on the hard stand after being diverted, and a Delta 767-300 took off from CVG going to JFK.. The lighting was not the best, but I tried to make the most of it.

Please pre-screen these 5 photos, please:
