I’d be grateful if these could be looked at before I consider submitting to the database..

1: Backlit, nose wheel is cut off,
2: Crop to loose, Noise, soft/blurryish at the nose and tail.
3: light is kinda meh, but it might be ok.
4: Low in frame, and a touch more contrast but otherwise nice.
All would be better at a smaller size IMO

Tim,

1. Yeah, I did wonder about the nose wheel. Not so sure about backlit. Could you perhaps expand on that, i.e. bit more contrast, highlights, etc.
2. I’ll take a look at the original again and try a rework.
3. Basically the same light as one I had accepted recently. I guess it’s subjective.
4. Like 2 I’ll try a rework.

Thanks for taking the time to look.

For #1, the sun is behind the side of the plane that you shot, so the entire side of the plane is in shadow, it won’t be acceptable at all because of that.

#2 probably won’t be fixable, but try, and see if it can be saved.

#3 & #4 with a few slight touch ups should be good :)

Please consider that backlit is generally not acceptable, other than on silhouette sunset shots. #1 looks already overprocessd to make up for the backlit "light". Please consider that we don't allow such strong editing neither. The final result has to look natural. The cut wheel is a clear motive rejection. So this shot has no chance of making it, I am sorry to say.

#3 is borderline at its best. It is more or less also backlit, and as well some strong shadow lifting was applied, and it looks flat as a result.

There's really no point in judging these photos for quality until they are in uploadable sizes.

#1 is underexposed due to backlit and the nosegear is cut off. Will not make it no matter how much editing.
#2 is distant.
#3 is overedited, with a look of a lot of shadows being lifted (or editing to a similar effect).
#4 either needs a tighter or wider crop on the left (include the background aircraft engine #2 or crop in front of the nose of the middle aircraft.

Gents,

Thanks for the feedback provided.

I’ve had a go at editing the original of No 4.
