Hi Cole,

The KC-135 looks marginal quality in general. with hints of blurryness/softness.
Delta looks marginal quality in general and hints of oversharpening.
Westjet looks a bit blurry and OS to compensate.

Recently went Air to Air at LAX, got some shots. Looking for anyone that wouldn't mind to check these.

All 3 looks fine in terms of quality, but the ANZ and Asiana need a lot of CW rotation. I hope there is room for that in the original files.

Hi,

Delta 763: Blurry, soft. Not fixable.
Asiana 380: a bit underexposed, soft
KE380: passable
Volaris 320: Would sharpen the windows more
AA / PSA: Soft / flat (low contrast)

Great thank you! So adding a bit more sharpening on Volaris would make it acceptable? Same with PSA, and adding more contrast and sharpening?

Hey,
The Volaris isn't far off, might be even acceptable as it is. To make sure I would recommend to sharpen the "window-line" more.
I think with some more sharpening and Contrast the PSA would be acceptable as well. Same for the Asiana if you add some exposure and sharpening. They are really not far off.

Cheers,
Julien

Finally got to edit a few photos.
First of all, I had a priority photo of a KC135 lineup shot rejected for heat haze, but im unsure if its 100% fair. opinions would be helpful.
Link: https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/ai ... c7d745a46a

Also recently threw these two in the queue. The edit was tough on the 330 but I think its acceptable. Please let me know, for Omni looking for general advice.

Omni Link: https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/ai ... c20a4253c4

Hello Cole,

The KC135 looks hazed to the extent that the overall clarity of the image is poor. Image also looks like it could use some CW rotation. Agree with the screening result.
The DL 330 does not look good. It is over exposed, clarity and definition is poor, and the image has a blue color cast.
Omni 767:Very harsh lighting and heat hazed. Marginal for me.

While haze (and therefore distance) kills the Omni I think it's misleading to state that the light is harsh - there are images featuring much worse lighting that get in every day.

Condor: Looks a little soft towards the front of the image.
Atlas: Poor light, also has a magenta colour cast, needs more green.
An124: Is the same Atlas photo, wrong link?
Korean: Passable I think, the colours look off a tiny bit, but probably passable.
Etihad 777: Possible light/motive rejection, most of the plane is in shadow, so it may vary screener to screener.
Air Tahiti: Something looks off about the front/titles. the nose looks blurry, while the titles look OS and Blurry.
Qantas: Borderline for Heat Haze, also a little flat.
Lufthansa: Looks ok.
EVA: Looks ok as well.

Thank you so much!! I will probably throw away condor, attempt to fix atlas, i’ll throw the an124 in this forum post if anyone doesn’t mind checking it, remove ATN, and add one contrast ago qantas.

Antonov if anyone doesn’t mind looking at it

KLM: Very Blue/Green, also quite compressed.
NetJets: HeatHaze, Compression, Could be a touch higher in frame as well.
737: Dark/Underexposed, Yellow colour cast, obstruction (GPU blocking the nose wheel.
727: Dark/Underexposed, yellow colour cast, also some compression in the sky.

For KLM I will fix that.
Would the NetJets still be worth a try after fixing? As you said heat haze is an issue...
737: I can fix exposure, color cast, i’m guessing it’ll be borderline because of the GPU?
And 727 i will fix.

Thanks Tim,
Cole

For NetJets at 1024px it just may be ok.
I don't think the 737 will be acceptable because of the GPU.

KLM 787 looks oversharpened. There are jaggies on the elading edge of the wings, main titles and landing gear.
The Netjets seems OK for me.
B737 : Agree with Tim that it is dead in the water due to the GPU obstruction.
B727 : Agree with Tim.

Looking better for the 727? I tried to remove yellow and added some exposure.

I will attempt 1000 for the net jets
