Pablo's pre and post screening photos

Hi everyone,
Recently I got 2 photos rejected for the same reason "high in frame", I understand the concept. However, I don't understand why is this a reason for rejection in both of my photos.
I don't want to appeal and waste a screeners time. So, first I want to know exactly whats wrong and in which case the grid is not taken into account.

Hi,

easy to say, because the tail is part of the aircraft, too and you should take that into account for the framing. Your shots are just centered by fuselage. That can work on very long planes with small tails, but otherwise it will look unbalanced.

Especially on the first plane there is quite some dead space under the aircraft. Both are high in Frame and I would not recommend to appeal in that case.

Regards,
Julien

In addition to what Julien wrote, more often than not it works best if you first center the fuselage and then place the aircraft a little lower. Eventually one will get an eye for centering.

In terms of centering, yes. Can’t judge the rest as I’m on my phone.
