I was hoping for pre-screening on a photo not yet in the A.net system, and therefore I simply tried to copy and paste my image into my message. Is this not possible on A.net? Do images that are seeking pre-screening somehow need to be in the A.net system before the viewing can take place? Sorry to be dim, but I have never encountered a website where it is seemingly so hard to simply attach an image (my inexperience with the site rather than anything else, I'm sure).

Hello, photo is oversharpened, white border below, over edited sky/artifacts/unnatural looking sky, too loose crop, noisy in the shadow areas like under the wings, yellow cast.

Strong vignetting, halos (around the tail and above front fuselage), still a bit yellow to me, oversharpened and too loose crop.

Still halos around the plane and oversharpened. There is no use in uploading if you aks me. What is your editing process? The halos mostly appear with lifting shadows, don`t you see them? How did you sharpen the plane? I might be wrong but I can see a lot of jaggies all around.

Edited with 'photos' on MacBookPro and 'Pixlr'. Initially sharpened to around +95% then reduced to around +70% after your first thoughts. I initially took a dropper colour sample of the blue sky on 'Pixlr' and replaced the whole sky to guarantee elimination of the halos, but your view was that it looked wrong. Reverted to original sky and removed 'brilliance' enhancement completely which reduced the halos significantly. Halos are a mystery to me - the original, completely unedited, shot looks to have them so I am starting to doubt myself when I think I see them.

Top tip: Don't edit on Pixlr.
Its terrible, You need to get Lightroom to edit properly.

Any other Photoshop program will do as well. The photo doesn't seem bad per se, but the issue is the post-processing.

A touch high in frame, and the halos are still present (although much less noticeable).
Walk us through your editing process, from there we can identify where the halos are coming from.

Kas is right, Photoshop will work too, however, Lightroom is a little more basic, but made by the same people.

Much better already, but can agree to the bit HIF (try equal distance nosetop of frame and hor.stab./bottom of frame).

Thanks to all once again. HIF is obviously easy and I've had another look at the halos with fresh eyes this morning!. The basic, un-edited image simply had the exposure increased by about 20%, with no definition increase and a 40ish% sharpness increase. Noise was reduced and contrast increased very slightly. Worth also bearing in mind that the very low December sun with high cloud covering it did produce a slightly yellow tint, but I've reduced this a shade too.

The first thing would be not to much either slider, if anything only a slight bump of the highlights or shadows, rarely should you reduce either of them.

Sometimes too much sharpening will cause them, what are your sharpening settings, can you post a screenshot (of your whole editing window)?

Put the clarity & texture slider at 0, and leave it there.

Can you post another further up the screen? Showing blacks, shadows, highlights, etc.
