Pre-Screen

Sun Apr 19, 2020 11:01 am

Need some help with this photo, as it was marked as being CW rotation in the rejection note.

Image

I've tried re-aligning the photo, based upon vertical lines on the wall just above the aircraft; I am wondering if that was enough to fix the problem, as I can't make it all perfectly straight.

I also can use a pre-screen on the following photos before uploading:

Also question; are UAV's accepted into the photo database? I've got a picture of a SAGEM Sperwer below, of which none are in the database:

Try to center using a vertical line in or close to the center of the frame. The images as shown above looks like it needs CW rotation.
UAV's are accepted.

Is this an improvement on the pictures that need a CW rotation?

CL-215: bad framing, would be better tighter, otherwise I like it alot.
AI-101: same as CL-215, also a bit blurry.
P-51: needs some rotation to make the poles and building level, otherwise I really like it!
Snowbirds Lineup: Low in frame, also a touch soft, would be better at 1600px.
Snowbird #5: Slightly OE, and a touch Low in frame.

Some minor compression on all of them, though that could just be Imgur.

Still having trouble with this photo; this time being told CW rotation, and Verticals in background are leaning to the left. I've readjusted the photo again:

Image

The more I stare at it, the more I think there's some sort of odd optical illusion as a result of a combination of the wide angle used (28mm), the aircraft parked at an odd angle, and the back wall at an angle.

I'm trying to straighten the image using the black pole that's running vertically on the back wall beside the poster that's hanging. Should I be using a different reference point to straighten the image in Lightroom?

I'm also having an issue with this one, with a CW rotation.

I've re-adjusted it based upon the levelness of the panels of the CF-18 that's sitting behind it. However to me, it makes the back wall look crooked. Should I be using a different reference point?

I think if you reference the black pole in the center of the frame against the back wall, you will see that it is indeed leaning to the left. All of the verticals in the background exacerbate the effect. The best guide to use is the vertical in the center.

Is this any better? Used the top of the short yellow ladder in front of the aircraft to try to level it:
