Pre-screening : WingsFan

Tue Jun 09, 2020 5:59 pm

Hello!

I will appreciate a feedback on the following image. It was shot in late evening hours. I am not sure if I should actively reduce evening yellow sunlight or just let it be as seen.

My preference is a little less yellow. But it is passable for the time of day.

Thanks Jehan. I will leave that image as-is, but I reduced yellow slightly from another one taken the same evening. Any comments?

A bit dark, however the sun glare along the fuselage would likely make it a motive rejection.

To reject for that sunflash seems a bit harsh - metallic surfaces will always reflect some light, without fail - it's very distracting when glare is highlighted by refracting around the internal elements of the lens but it's subtle enough here, surely?

This site does puzzle me at times - I find heat haze and any part of aircraft wheels missing far more distracting but the site apparently disagrees.

I find the glare quite distracting as well; it could've been easily avoided by taking the photo a few moments earlier.
On the other hand I agree that there are many distracting features that are for some reason accepted by this site, and unfortunately undermine its quality. Lightpoles, fences, people, airframe/cockpit covers, to name a few.

I have to agree, I don’t think that reflection is enough to justify a rejection. I’d be pretty disappointed to get a rejection for that.

Unfortunately, the following photo got rejected for 'underexposed'. What do you guys think of the fix? I only bumped up the exposure by a 1/3rd , but looks alright to me.

Can I have comments on the following picture please?

ImageDSC_7091-Edit-2

Frankly, I do not have any information about what airline or what plane this might be. Must I need this information for upload? Regardless, how would I go about finding this out? The image is a couple of years old from Toronto Pearson.

Looks like a Condor 767-300. There's a logo on the nose but without being able to enlarge a high res copy, that's my best guess.

Definitely Condor, whats the date? I'll ask a few friends to see if they were out on the same day or if they can find out using a higher up version of FlightAware or FR24.

Looks Over exposed (nose) Over-sharpened to my eyes. I'll defer to others re. the identification of the airframe.

Thanks Tim and Richie! Great eye!
Definitely Condor. The logo and engine nacelle color match another photo from 2017

The camera info suggests I took this image on 6/21/2017 at a few minutes before 4:30 pm.
