Overexposed rejection...

Fri May 14, 2021 2:10 pm

Hello everyone,

Just looking for some feedback on this rejected photo. The rejection was "overexposed"

https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/ai ... bc360dedd2

I honestly feel that if I lower the exposure, I will get the rejection for the opposite reason.

What do you focus more on exposure, histogram? Or you just look at the overall photo?

Thanks in advance,
Fabio

Not badly overexposed but could probably do with toning down just a bit. More concerning for me are the strong blue halos around the engines and fuselage top — looks like an editing artefact where you've perhaps highlighted then isolated parts of the sky?

Good point about the halos. This image should also have drawn a blurry/over sharpened rejection. The tail section is visibly blurry and jaggies are visible on the port wing, engine nacelles and main title.

Thank you for the feedback. I just did some basic lightroom editing...from a raw file.
