I've a few very disappointing rejections and would like to know your thoughts and whether it is worth having another editing go at them. Most of them having low contrast of which I don't see why that is.

For starters, I really like these shots, the Cayman Airways shots in particular, and I certainly think it's worth another go at editing.
I can certainly see the overexposure on the first one (not the low contrast, though) and I think some tools have an option to just dim the highlights and maybe darken the shadows a bit. The top of the fuselage is certainly bright.
For the rest of the low contrast images, I think darkening the shadows a bit will help the brights pop and increase the contrast ever so slightly. There is a blanket option to just increase contrast but I'm not positive that'll have the effect you're looking for.
