Posts Screening opinions

Fri Feb 04, 2022 9:04 pm

Hi All,

Haven't done one of these in a long time. Anyways; I had a few rejected for some reasons I'm not sure about and want some feedback on these. I also lost all of these photo after they didn't copy right to the external drive, deleted them off the card, used the card realized what happened and now they're unrecoverable.
First one; Rejected for O/S and Distance... I don't agree with either especially the distance as the aircraft was less than 100 yards from me
(has been appealed)

Second one; Rejected for O/S and High contrast

Third one; Rejected for soft and high contrast (Focus is on the left aircraft)

Fourth one; The crop, noise and I can see - but another distance. Again, the aircraft was extremely close to me so did "Distance" by definition change?

This isn't related at all, but yes I was banned for a week trying to photoshop part of a wing out of a photo (Sorry) and once I started uploading again I can not get a shot accepted, maybe something changed with my editing and such.

Thanks for looking,
Colin

See the upload guidelines here:
https://www.airliners.net/faq/photo_acceptance_guide/

Distance really refers to the plane being too small in the frame, regardless of physically how far away from it you were.

Image one: I suspect the screeners would like you to crop a bit close on the left and right. Given the tilted wings, you would probably benefit from a 4:3 crop rather than the standard 3:2.

I can't really comment on images 2 & 3 as I'm not on my editing screen. Your fourth link is the same as the third one.
