Motive rejection

Sun Nov 13, 2022 7:01 pm

Hi,

why in the world is that a motive rejection of this epic moment, which I also described in the catpions? This would be the first pics with that motive at all.

27.10.2017 A night to remember in Germany. The very last scheduled AB flight arrives from FCO as AB8719 with water salute and many horns blowig from emergencyvehicles around midnight when airbelin ceased opretaions finally!.

Besides that ist was rejected for oversharpened which is imo arguably.

What do you think?

Hi Rainer

IMO, maybe it got rejected for cropping. in the first picture, i think airplane is too much off centered even though it doesn't show full water salute. about second one, it's hard to figure out what the main subject is at first. also there is a distracting thomas cook in front and aircraft is too small.
this is just one user opinion so hope you get accepted them soon

Best regards,
Geunwon

First image: The Iberia tail kills the shot for me and there’s a lot of fairly dead space in the top half.

Second image: Difficult to see what the shot is all about - the TC tail and bright foreground are very distracting.

Thank you for your replies.
Imo the point is that these pics are unique and historical. In this case there was simlpy no other photoopportunity. To reject them for motive is redicules for me. Especially the one with the water fountain. So I kepp them in my collection and other dbs accepted that one easily with quite a good response.
