EI-DCL No Longer Accepted?

Sun Sep 12, 2010 3:05 pm

Hi,

I had this photo rejected for quality, motiv and soft. While I might not agree but understand the quality and soft reasons, I don't understand why the picture is rejected for motiv. Does this means that no more photos of EI-DCL from this perspective are accepted? What's the problem with this motiv?

Luis;

The problem with the motive is that you have cropped off the engines on either side. If you include the engines then this motive is acceptable, and given the quality and sharpness can be made acceptable would be accepted.

Probably cutting the left engine in half and cropping too close on the right engine.

But there is any rule saying we can't crop off both engines? I want the fuselage to fill the frame so I cropped off the engines, I see this all the time here, cropped planes, tails, fuselages, engines, wheels, mine is that different?

Thanks for the replies.

Luis - you have cut the engines in half. Like right through them. No, that is not acceptable.

ok, polemic and subjective reason if compared with other photos of cropped planes I see daily at airliners.net, but thanks for the reply.

Polemic? Not at at all. Subjective? Of course - there is always an element of subjectivity in screening.

Your crop is awkward. The rejection decision was justified. Move on.

Sorry, there's no need, whatever I'll show, you can always tell me my photo doesn't work while the other are fine, it's an endless discussion.

I made a question, a screener told me my crop it's not acceptable, I appreciate the answer and close my case.
