Quoting mohammedzaheer (Reply 29): How is this? |

Quoting mohammedzaheer (Reply 35): The overcast weather is really bugging me making it very hard to mask the A/C. If any tips for masking please do share!! |
Quoting mohammedzaheer (Reply 35): I just hate overcast weather |
Quoting mohammedzaheer (Reply 35): Also any thoughts on these? |
Quoting vikkyvik (Reply 38): Use the Polygonal Lasso tool, and just draw approximately around the aircraft. I do that all the time for images where using the Magic Wand won't work well (so basically any image that isn't aircraft-against-blue-sky). You don't need to trace exactly around the aircraft - as time has gone on, I've sacrificed accuracy for speed in that regard. |
Quoting vikkyvik (Reply 38): Overcast can be quite annoying when there's not anything special going on with the light. But keep at it and sometimes you'll capture something interesting, especially toward sunset if the sun shines through from under the clouds (sorry for the self-plug): |
Quoting vikkyvik (Reply 38): The first is high in frame and looks a bit oversharpened. The second is very high and soft (too much jetwash, I think). Neither has great lighting, so I think they're both nonstarters for A.net. |
Quoting mohammedzaheer (Reply 44): would this qualify for a tail shot? |
Quoting mohammedzaheer (Reply 44): would this qualify for a tail shot? |
Quoting mjgbtv (Reply 47): I have not looked for evidence either way in the database, but I suspect that you might run into a motive rejection because a significant portion of the tail is blocked by the horizontal stab... |
Quoting len90 (Reply 48): Tail shots are usually taken when the plane is on the ground to allow for less blocking by the horizontal stabilizer. |
