Pre-screen. Saudia's First Visit To LAX

Tue Apr 01, 2014 8:03 pm

I would please like your feedback on these two shots I took at LAX yesterday for Saudia's inaugural flight. The heat haze was a problem for shots when the plane was lower. I like the shot with the Hollywood sign in the background because it shows the airplane is actually in LA as opposed to the boring blue background, however, I'm kinda worried that the heat haze might still be too much in that photo.

Second one looks to have a bit too much heat haze. First is better, but is dark, has noise in the sky, and looks a bit oversharpened in spots.
I'm watching Jeopardy. The category is worst Madonna songs. "This one from 1987 is terrible".

Also looks like a bit of a green colour cast

Thank you for your input. I selected a different photo and played around with the color balance and the levels. Is this any better?

Hi,

I think there's probably still too much noise in the sky. Might also be oversharpened or borderline in areas. Not far off with this edit though.

Thinking that you might be better off going to 1024 wide to deal with the noise issue. Kind of curious to know the exif data on that image. Was the ISO too high or are you not saving at the best quality when editing.
