Hello all,

I just uploaded this photo and wanted to get some feedback on it. Thanks!

It looks pretty good to me. There are a few slightly jaggy areas, and it looks a touch bright, but I don't think those would warrant a rejection.

contrast is weak, and needs some CW rotation

on the rotation- It appears to me that the lateral border of the photo is perfectly in line with the building next to the border on the left. Will it not get rejected for level if I make the aircraft straight across but the building looks un level? It has been my experience that it will get rejected with the building appearing unlevel.

Here is a new edit with increased contrast and rotation to make the aircraft horizontal. What do you think?

I'm not on a good monitor to judge contrast, but the level is now way off.

I disagree with Powwwiii - I think the level in your first edit is most accurate. Appears to be a sloped ramp.

By level you are talking about CW yes?

It was a sloped ramp I feel like the first edit is more accurate to the condition of the aircraft.

Have to agree with Vik. Screeners should realize it is a sloped ramp and that the image is level via the vertical cues of the building

How does the contrast look now and overall on the new edit except for the level which is in question?

I was looking at the horizon, and now this new edit is definitely off and needs CCW. The earlier edit was not available anymore, so can not compare to that one again.

On my work computer, I can not tell about the contrast, seems that was a very cloudy day.

this is my new upload of the photo with increased contrast and the same level as in the first picture.

Should it not be judged according to the vertical lines of the building behind the aircraft? Any adjustments to level will make the building appear to be leaning as visualized by my link in post 6.

Yes, I would certainly judge it by the building. The horizon in this photo is quite close and not nearly reliable enough.

Just include a note to the screeners that the ramp is sloped.

(I'm still not on a good monitor to judge contrast)

CW rotation needed. Might be suffering a little from heat haze, especially on the backs of the wings. Also looks to be a bit soft.

CW I am good with. I cannot see any verticals that aren't lined up. The taxiway is slanted like that. Can you point out the vertical you are using to see it needs to be rotated?

Look at the pole the windcone is on. That's what is standing out to me.

Alright thanks for the help so far!

Here is another one. And in challenging conditions. I think this one probably won't work, but I liked the angle so I thought I would see what is thought of it. Thanks!

New edit on the photo from post 20; I felt like it was too dark.

It seems a bit blue to me, plus some jaggies on the cheatlines on the left tip tank (if you sharpen in layers, you can easily get rid of that by using the eraser tool on that specific part).

Alright everyone I would like a pre-screen.

I took this at the Red Bull Air Race Texas Motor Speedway. The race has never been to the TMS. I cropped it wide to include the title Speedway in the photo because I thought it added an element to the photo eluding to where it was taken. Will this distance merit a motive reject? How bout light/dark issue? Thanks all!

Hi,

really nice shot!

to me the wider-crop works perfectly as it-is, but I am not a screener.
Perhaps it is going to help you if you write a short comment for the screeners that you chose ths crop to include the speedway sign.

Exposure looks fine to me.

Hope this helps a bit.
