How Is This A Reject?

It was rejected for being " grainy dark colour " I do not know where the "grain" is as it has been put through several noise and grain reduction programs. Yes I agree to an extent that is is slightly dark however they are painted in dark paint, and it is only the bottom of the aircraft which is dark. I really do not understand it.

Can some one please point me in the direction of where I am going wrong with this one?

Many Thanks
Chris

I would have to disagree with the grainy. I do not see any problem noise.

I do agree that it is a bit dark. I think you could do some work with the levels to improve that.

I am not sure about the colour. I do not know what these aircraft should look like but I certainly do not see any odd cast in the sky.

Please note, also, that there is a separate forum for discussing images: https://www.airliners.net/aviation-forums/photography_feedback/

Quoting cmorton (Thread starter):

Its a bit too dark (underwing sections) and you could have tried portrait orientation, currently there's too much space on left and right side of the image. I would say tweak it a bit and try again. Great airplanes!

It's not the underwing sections, but the whole image. I was able to bring the brightness up by ~30, and it still wasn't overexposed anywhere.

Not sure on grainy and color - both look OK to me.
