Post Screening

Sat Oct 04, 2014 1:38 pm

Hello everyone,

I have had this picture rejected for soft (even in appeal phase).

would someone please point me out where exactly this picture is soft?

It was already rejected for soft before, but actually after having stressed a little bit the details with some USM I thought it was ok.
... just to know which are the areas that may need a work on.

thank you very much in advance,

Matteo

Alitalia logo and windowline. Honestly, all middle of the fuselage. With OS at Calabria logo and reg.

Its still soft around titles, nose, windows. I would suggest you try editing it at 1024x and feel it will boost its chances than at 1300x.

Cheers Mark

I have to agree with Mark. I personally would selectively sharpen those softer areas and downsize a little. Should be an image that gets some views with that great background provided by mother nature.

Thanks for the feedback.

My main concern - with the image at this stage - was the high risk of ending up into oversharpening issues, thus leading from a problem to another.

Before going it with a total new editing, if you don't mind, I would like to ask you a feedback on a quick one of the rejcted image I have gone through. If anything would be odd, I will start again back from the original.

1. The rejected one, with some more selective USM applied:

2. Starting from the latter, downsize at 1100 then some more USM applied:

Thanks again and have a nice Sunday
