Will This Be Accepted?

Sat Mar 28, 2015 11:22 am

Well, I am not sure which category, suitable or not but I liked it and need some guidance. Will it be a waste effort try to add this to our database? If you think it might have a chance, how to categorize it? I have the registrations of both aircraft.

Thanks in advance for your valuable thoughts.

Per the rejection guide tail close-ups are not allowed: "Tail images need to show the entire outline of the tail. We do not accept close-ups of tail logos. We do accept images of tail but the entire tail needs to be visible."

This is not a tail close-up.
Nice shot.

This is not a tail close-up.

Doubt winglet closeups would get different treatment. Good shot, but unfortunately will likely be rejected.

A year or so ago it was announced that he Motive rules would be amended to allow for more creative and artistic Motives and Crops...perhaps this shot meets that criteria???.

I believe this was announced more than once. But in the end everything returns to where it had been before.

Too art-like, indeed.
Don't get me wrong, it was well thought out and nicely executed but I highly doubt it's for A-net.

Love it! Unfortunately I don't think the screeners will.

It's quite a nice photo, but as noted there would be a motive issue for A.net, and the winglet/logo also look too soft for here. But hey, this is one website in the vast sea of the internet.

Andrew, he has 9 photos accepted....

Really? Actually I am a little bit surprised.   just to be sure, I need to ask; You think the pegasus is soft, right? And you are not mentioning the BA's tail?

Thank you very much for supplying the correct info. I haven't been shooting for some time and I had some big disappointments with a.net in the past. Lately I decided to give it another try and worked a little on my editing techniques and now I am uploading once again. Its amazing to see how much one can learn at any time in his/her life!

Yes, and the leading edge of the winglet.

Quoting Bogac (Reply 13):

No, that is clearly deliberately out of focus.
