PostScreen- Firebombers

Mon May 11, 2015 1:54 pm

Hi all,
I had these two rejected for being Soft and Dark. The front on doesn't look to be that at all. The second one does looks a tad dark in the shadows but, they are shadows.

Side:

Front on:

Thanks!

Colin!

The tail of the front on looks a bit soft to me and it is sidelit, but the light would be ok for me.
The second one also seems to be soft, starting with the wings.

Cheers,

Arndt

The first is rejected for dark because the sun is clearly on the other side of the plane.

If I bump up the shadows, would it work?

It might help but I doubt it would do much. You can only fight a badly lit photo so much. The second one is also soft - especially the tail.

Hi there,

It appears the windscreens are also over sharpened, and as everyone said the tail is soft.

Thanks for the feedback on that one. I got this one rejected for Oversaturated. Is it the sky that got it rejected?

More likely the belly and/or ground.

If you add a significant amount of contrast to a shot, you should consider dropping saturation to compensate.
