Prescreening Opinion

Mon Oct 05, 2015 8:54 am

I wonder if I could have the forum opinion on which crop to upload.

Close?

or wide?

Or even still wider:

Thank you beforehand

Nice ones, Baldur!

The closest one has the most impact imo, so that's the one I'd chose.
I do admit though that the wider one has some appeal by showing more of the landscape.

The widest one is stretching it a bit too far for my taste.

Cheers,

Thierry

Hi,

I prefer the last one (the widest one). The landscape is really interesting and deserves to be included, especially in such a light. Few of us can see such a view.
Great shot, that will be pretty popular.

The second one is really nice as well, but the scene is a bit less spectacular.

The close one is not bad either, but not as interesting as the others to me. As well I can see some sharpness /quality issues for this one which could likely lead to a rejection.

I like the first one and the way you've picked up the tip vortex, but you've got a dust spot on the left edge, in line with the exhaust from the orange helo. It may be my monitor, but the sky looks a bit noisy.

Quoting ThierryD (Reply 1):

My vote would be for the second for the reason stated by Thierry. Balances the impact of the aircraft up close with the nice landscape in the background.

Cheers

Can I get another opinion from my peers. When I looked at this it seemed ok, but now when I look at the upload, it seems to be quite soft and/or blurry. Am I imagining things? The angle is unique, but that does not make up for a soft shot.

I might try it smaller, like 1024, but???

Thanks again

Baldur,

to me this looks like the motive is completely out of focus. Not even a smaller size will compensate this, I'm afraid.

Cheers,

Thierry

Looks really out of focus, I'm afraid that can't be fixed by anything.
